Funeral Teas and Wakes
Saying goodbye to a loved one is never easy, but there is something special about gathering friends and family in one place to swap stories and exchange memories. A funeral tea at The Melbreak is served with sensitivity and care: let us worry about the detail while you focus on saying goodbye.
Wedding Breakfasts
Celebrate your new commitment with an intimate wedding breakfast in the stylish Conservatory. The restaurant is glass-fronted with beautiful views of mountains, including our namesake, Melbreak. Our seasonal menu is created with fresh, local produce and all cooked to perfection by our talented in-house chefs.

Restaurant, Bar and Lounge
On an elevated position across our ground floor, the elegant restaurant, bar and lounge benefits from mountain views, plenty of space, and an airy atmosphere. Our menus offer both classic favourites and surprising dishes, while at our bar you can select from a range of alcoholic, soft and hot drinks from near and afar.

On-Site Parking
Parking doesn’t need to be a worry for your guests, with plenty of free car parking on site, including six Fuuse EV charging points.
Private Meeting Rooms
Our two private meeting rooms benefit from Lakeland mountain views and flexible layouts, as well as tea and coffee facilities and refreshment packages. Free WiFi is available as standard; flipcharts and projectors are available upon request.

Enjoy your own private event in our enchanting tipis, coming soon to the Melbreak. Erected in our grounds, this unique venue space is surrounded by the fields and fells of our rural setting, and is an ideal location to give your event an extra-special touch.
